Schatzi (AKA Whitemist Treasure) was born on the 29^th of December 2003. Schatzi was chosen from her litter for her intelligence and motivation to work for food. As a very young puppy Schatzi was the only pup of her litter to scale a set of stairs and make her way into the kitchen of her breeder’s home.

This intelligence and desire to earn reinforcement has stayed with Schatzi, known to many as The Wonderpup, and she is now a very high drive dog. Schatzi currently competes in agility trials and is halfway to her AAD (Australian Agility Dog) title with the Agility Dog Association of Australia.

In May 2007 Schatzi obtained her JD (Jumping Dog) title through the ANKC, this made Schatzi Australia’s first agility titled white shepherd!!!! She has also recently obtained her first pass towards her Gamblers Dog (GD) Title and her first pass towards her Strategic Pairs Dog (SPD) title, this was gained when she and her Belgian Shepherd friend teamed up to take first place at a trial.

Schatzi is a true working shepherd and has some of the best herding instincts seen in a White Shepherd in Australia. She attends herding training on a regular basis and in October 2006 became the first white shepherd in Australia to obtain the Herding Instinct Certificate (HIC). In October 2007 Schatzi also obtained her HT (Herding Test) title the first white shepherd in Australia to do so! Schatzi obtained the judges award both days for the most promising in her class. She also was awarded with the clubs perpetual trophy for the best overall dog and handler at the trial.

Schatzi has commenced training in tracking in 2007 and shows an aptitude for this sport. Her other commitments have gotten in the way of competing in tracking, but she will commence trialling in this sport in 2008. Schatzi will continue with agility and herding trials throughout 2007.

On the 15^th of July 2007 Schatzi passed her Endurance Test giving her her ET title. The endurance test is a 20km test where the handler rides a bike or jogs and the dog gaits.

Schatzi is the mother of Schatzfunde’s first litter with Tumbledown’s Super Sonic, this litter broke the record for frozen semen AI for white shepherds in Australia. She has passed on her intelligence and affectionate temperament to her offspring. This will be Schatzi’s only litter as she is now desexed to better focus on her trialling career.

Schatzi is also a show biz star! In April 2006 she appeared in the Star Pets segment of The Pet Show on ABC and won her heat. On the show Schatzi performed as The Mathematical Dog doing her signature trick of barking the answers to maths problems. Schatzi has also had roles in two other short films which unfortunately did not make it to the screen. Schatzi can perform a myriad of tricks such as spins, going to a mark, speak on command and can target objects with her nose, feet and even her ears.

Schatzi is white with some cream highlights, she stands at around 600mm tall at the withers and is a fit and muscular dog.

Schatzi is a true all-rounder and we anticipate that her offspring will possess the same high drives and intelligence that she shows.
