Our Dogs - Jaeger ET JD

Jaeger is a five year old desexed male black and tan GSD. He is an important member of the family here at Schatzfunde. Jokingly called the Nanny, it is his presence and teachings that have helped raise many puppies in the family. His influence was evident in the socialisation and raising of our January 2007 Schatzi x Super litter. Jaeger stayed with Schatzi throughout the time the pups were with us and even helped her with cleaning up after them!

Jaeger recently showed what a caring and empathetic dog he is by becoming a local hero! While staying with family members Jay started making a commotion for no reason. He ran inside barking until he alerted someone to come and follow him, he showed them that their elderly neighbour had slipped and fallen and could not get up! Thanks to Jay, all was well everyone was safe! What a wonderful dog!!!

Jaeger is active in the trial ring in several sports. His favourite is agility in which he regularly competes. After a long lay off due to injury, Jaeger re-entered the trial ring at the end of 2005. 2006 has seen Jay obtain his JD (Jumping Dog) title. He has also obtained his GD (Gamblers Dog) title, in his new favourite agility game. Jay has two passes towards his CCD title in obedience. Jaeger also has an ET (Endurance Test) title.

Despite his busy schedule in dog sports, Jaegers favourite activity still remains playing with toys with his best friend and little sister Schatzi.
